​Hernando Beach, Florida, is a picturesque waterfront community located in Hernando County along the Gulf of Mexico, approximately 50 miles north of Tampa. Developed between 1959 and 1965 by Charlie Sasser, the area features a network of canals providing residents with direct access to the Gulf. Despite its name, Hernando Beach does not have traditional sandy beaches but offers abundant opportunities for boating, fishing, and water sports. The community maintains a tranquil atmosphere, with local restaurants and marinas enhancing its coastal charm. ​
